When you own your actions, you win……period.
The gym is buzzing these days. New members, new training routines, and jammed packed group fitness classes are the norm. I love what I see, but it’s going to end. People will only go as far as their desire.
Do you have true desire to reach your goals? How bad do you want it? (the grade, the job, the body), and are you prepared to do the work?
I lost 50lbs, in 6 months simply because I owned my actions. I stoped making excuses, I figured out what I had to do, and I did it. This was the most empowering event in my life. It inspired me to start a blog, and find enjoyment in helping others improve their life.
If you want something bad enough and are prepared to drop the excuses, you will achieve your goals.
To achieve your goals you must own your actions. You control you, your job doesn’t control you, the weather doesn’t conrtol you, and your family doesn’t control you.
3 Steps to Owning Your Actions
1. Stop Rationalizing – if you have to justify why you missed a workout, forgot to pack your lunch, or broke down and ate a Big Mac….you simply don’t want it bad enough.
2. Have a Plan – I have tried many different nutrition plans, and have come to the conclusion that most of them work. If you are convinced you have found the right plan (weight watcher, zone, paleo etc…) get the tools to make it work. Don’t stray from the plan, give it an honest chance, then decide how to proceed. The only plans that fail, are the ones the are not executed.
3. Find a Lifestyle Change Partner – Being accountable to yourself works for some people (it did for me), but having the support of a close friend/parnter can really keep you in line. Write down your plan, and discuss progress daily.

Great points, Jordan! All too often people are looking to shirk responsibility for where they’re at. Even if everything isn’t 100% your fault, changing your mindset like this really empowers you to make the most of what you’ve got.
