  • I’ll have to try this! I love sweet potato fries but I can never get them crispy on the outside the way I like them. :-(

  • Trying these tonight Jordan, will let you know how they go!

Another good one for white potatoes is salt, pepper, brown sugar, bbq sauce, breads and oil.

  • Jordan,

I love sweet potato fries… even more so when they are accompanied by Foo Fighters! A couple tips I have for making them more crisp would be spray the baking sheet with a very light coat of Pam and spread the fries out evenly on the sheet with a good amount of space in between each one (you may need to do a couple of batches).

    • Alykhan,
I love the Foo Fighters. I was lucky to see them play in a small venue when they were just starting out. I will never forget it! As for the fries, I will add the spray next time.

  • These look excellent! I am totally hooked on Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Chips. These would cost less and be much healthier. I think a little cumin in there to spice them up might work well, too.

    • Hi Abigail,
I have not tried Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Chips (can’t get them in my part of Canada). I have used cumin before and it is a great addition!

  • Thanks! My girlfriend and I make sweet potato fries all the time, either with yams or yellow sweet potatoes. We mix them all up in a bowl, and season heavily (more than you would think you would need, so that you don’t need ketchup or any other condiment) with ceyanne pepper, smoked paprika, thyme and salt and pepper. They are yummy but I too have trouble crisping them up. Oh well, a small price to pay.

  • Tried these last night. They were fantastic. The only problem was I had to fight my kids for the seconds, lol…
