The Situation Workout: Is it all about the gym?
Whether you are a fan of the hit reality series Jersey Shore or not, you have to be impressed with some of the male physiques on the show. The man who calls himself “The Situation” and helped coin the phrase ‘Gym, Tan, Laundry’ is getting ready to branch out and secure a new revenue stream.Michael “The Situation” Sorrentino, most famous for his chisseled abs is attempting to parlay his success on Jersey Shore to profit on his soon to be released workout DVD.
Good Fitness Role Model?
First off, the cast is portrayed as young, party going drinkers who get drunk every night, not the greatest fitness role models (although, I question how much “The Situation” really drinks). Second, not being the most well spoken person in the world, and having some major blunders on the show (if cameras were following you around, the same thing would happen, plus it makes for good television) doesn’t help his cause either.
Proof is in the Pudding
Fortunately for “The Situation” you can measure authority in other ways. Nobody can argue that he doesn’t have great abs, in fact he shows them off almost every episode. You also can’t take away the hard work that he puts into it. The guys on the show maintain that they go to the gym at least 5 days a week, so in that respect they are putting in the effort to get those results.
He actually mentioned diet
I earned much respect for “The Situation” after viewing the above clip. When asked abut his workout routine, Mike goes on to discuss the stages of his program. Where he really surprised me is about the 16 second mark. He goes on a rant about diet! This is something I wasn’t expecting. Most meat heads wouldn’t talk about their diet in such high regard. For that I will get him credit.He didn’t mislead people to believe that just abs workouts alone will get the job done; no he actually admitted that diet plays a vital role is sculpting that 6-pack. Congratulations “Situation” for not being a meathead and possibly becoming positive fitness role model (sort of).

haha yeah I agree on the video I thought what’s this goon ball going to say ” another celebrity” fad fix? But to my surprise he made a lot of sense and you could follow as general philosophy to 6 pack abs

I was surprised to hear this guy mention his diet too, but its no question that this is the reason why he looks the way he does. Cardio is a kicker as well to make sure the layer between the abs and the skin stays away.
I’m actually interested to see the workout dvd, I foresee him having 10 girls behind him in bikinis holding his towel and redbull while he works out. hahah
That’s true, there will be ladies in the background for sure. I’m looking forward to viewing the DVD either way.

Maintaining fitness improves strength and power of the body and mind. Some people may disagree with this declaration, particularly after they begin an exercise program and they are sore, exhausted, and ready to quit. Inform the people that once they take on more physically active lifestyle, they will gradually start to feel better, their bodies will be inclined to burn fat better, and they will lose weight. In addition, this improved energy transfers into being more creative at job and at home.
Obviously the guy was going to discuss his diet/supplement/cardio that complements the ab routines. Just because he is portrayed as a meat head on the show doesn’t mean he is one. It’s obviously just for the show.
Do you guys think of most of these people on the show acted responsible and intelligent it would get ratings?
YOU DO NOT, get abs like that from doing mindless crunches all day. Unless you just have absurd genetics, it’s not going to happen.
